MAJOR LEAGUE FARM TEAMS
The Majors had loose affiliations with the Alabama-Florida League from the very beginning of the league's existence:  In 1936, The Ozark Cardinals became the first AFL team to have a major league affiliation (with the St. Louis Cardinals).  Lots of teams, like the 1936 Enterprise Barons, had affiliations with higher-level minor league teams, in this case, the Birmingham Barons, which also loosely affliated their players with major league clubs.  Below are the more "official" affiliations between the AFL and the majors.
