The classic park, as seen in the movie Bull Durham, is still around and in use occasionally.
The Durham Americans of the Coastal Plains League called the DAP home
during their 2003 season. The Americans folded, ending regular professional
use of the DAP, at least for now. The Durham Bulls moved a few miles away
to their beautiful Durham Bulls Athletic Park, or DBAP, but the charm
of this old park keeps it from being torn down. |
